This policy complies with the Apple App Store Guidelines and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Collection and Usage

The Application: We (the developers) do not collect, store, upload, or share any of your personally identifiable information. Any data you manage within the app, including SMB server credentials (addresses, usernames, passwords), is stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud storage (if enabled). We have no access to this data.

Third-Party Services: This app integrates Google AdMob for advertising. AdMob may collect certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, Advertising ID).
• Device model and operating system version.
• Coarse location data (derived from IP address).
• Ad interaction data (clicks, views, duration).

2. Third-Party Cloud Integrations

FileZen provides integration with third-party cloud storage providers, including but not limited to Microsoft OneDrive and Box.

• Authentication: We use official OAuth 2.0 flows for authentication. Your credentials are processed directly by the respective providers and are never accessible to us.
• Data Access: We only access the files and folders you explicitly interact with. File metadata and content are transferred directly between your device and the cloud provider's servers.

3. Advertising and Tracking

FileZen uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

• ATT Framework: In compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT), we will ask for your permission before accessing your IDFA for tracking purposes.
• GDPR Compliance: For users located in the European Union (EU), we use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) to obtain your explicit consent before serving personalized ads.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

FileZen offers in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• Payment Processing: All transactions are handled securely by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit).
• Data Access: We do not collect or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account details, or payment credentials. We only receive anonymous receipt information from Apple to validate your subscription status and provide access to premium features.

5. Your GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the GDPR:

• Right to be Informed: Knowing how third parties collect your data.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You can change your tracking preferences at any time in the app settings or iOS system settings.
• Right to Erasure: Since we do not store your personal data, there is no data for us to delete. You may reset your Advertising Identifier in your iOS settings to clear your ad profile.

6. Children's Privacy

FileZen is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through third-party services.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
